The gas phosphine is registered in Germany as product FRISIN® under registration number 004511-00/SER. It is actually registered up to November 30th 2012.

This insecticide is used as a plant protection product for the fumigation of stored goods. Holder of FRISIN® is the company S&A Service und Anwendungstechnik GmbH. FRISIN® contains of 1.7 percent by volume phosphine (PH3) and 98.3 percent by volume nitrogen (N2).

FRISIN® may be used for fumigation in other EU countries in case of mutual recognition. A future registration of FRISIN® within Europe is in preparation. The preliminary acceptance of the active ingredient phosphine within Europe is already given.
